FileXL was created and is operated by a Ph.D. engineer from Pakistan—a technologist who experienced firsthand how frustrating slow, size-limited, and privacy-invasive file sharing could be during international research collaborations.

After completing a doctorate in China and working across borders, our founder returned to Pakistan with a clear mission: to build a file transfer service that treats user privacy as a right, not a feature.
